Divided into Ten

In this portrait series, I photographed my husband's four youngest siblings. When the first images were taken in 2015, they were still living in a children's home in Transylvania. Since then, they have become part of our family, yet the traumas of their early years remain an unquiet presence in their lives.

With this spatial installation, I sought to visualize the fragmentation of their childhood—its persistent instability, and the absence of parental care and a true sense of home. Viewed from one angle, the work reveals the gaze of an abandoned child; from another, it shows the young adults they have grown into, still carrying the shadows of their past.

Tíz felé osztva

Portrésorozatomban férjem négy legkisebb testvérét fényképeztem. 2015-ben, amikor az első képek készültek még Erdélyben éltek egy gyermekotthonban. Azóta családba fogadtuk őket, de a múltban átélt traumák mindig jelen lesznek az életükben. Térinstallációs kísérletemmel a gyermekkoruk szétszabdaltságát akartam megjeleníteni, az állandó bizonytalanságot, a szülői gondoskodás és az otthon hiányát. Egyik irányból nézve még az elhagyatott kisgyermek tekintetét láthatjuk, a másik oldalról pedig a már fiatal felnőtteket, akik hordozzák magukkal a múlt árnyékait.
