Különböző méretű fekete-fehér és színes fotópapírokat ástam el a kertünkben a komposztban, a veteményeskert földjében, illetve vörösiszappal szennyezett földben. A földben 4–10 napig maradtak a fényérzékeny fotópapírok, kitéve a nedvességnek, bomlásnak és mikroorganizmusoknak. A sötétkamrában előhívott felületek ezeknek a folyamatoknak a lenyomatai. A talaj kémiai és biológiai hatásai közvetlenül alakították az emulziót, így a képek a földdel való fizikai kapcsolat nyomaivá váltak. Témafelvetésem a természeti környezet pusztítására hívja fel a figyelmet, a fotográfia segítségével mutat rá ökológiai problémákra, különösképpen a talajszennyezettség veszélyeire és a talaj megóvásának fontosságára. Vidéken élünk, ezért a talaj táplálása és a föld gazdagítása, termővé tétele az életvitelünk részévé vált. 

Latent Layers

I buried different sizes of black-and-white and color photographic papers in our garden compost, in the soil of the vegetable garden, and in soil contaminated with red sludge. The light-sensitive papers remained underground for 4–10 days, exposed to moisture, decomposition, and microorganisms. The surfaces developed in the darkroom preserve the traces of these processes. The chemical and biological effects of the soil directly altered the emulsion, turning the images into physical imprints of their contact with the earth.

My project draws attention to the destruction of the natural environment and uses photography to highlight ecological issues, particularly the dangers of soil contamination and the importance of protecting soil. Since we live in the countryside, nurturing the soil, enriching the land, and maintaining its fertility have become an integral part of our way of life.
